Case Study 2 – Global Scientific Researchers
Challenge
When in-person scientific and medical education events were disrupted, research organizations faced a deeper risk than presentation logistics: the potential loss of leadership presence, scientific credibility, and knowledge transfer across global audiences. Junior and senior faculty alike needed a consistent, scalable way to communicate complex science effectively in virtual and hybrid environments.
Approach
I redesigned the coaching program into a blended workforce development system focused on long-term capability building rather than one-time training.
This included:
- Creating role-based communication frameworks for early-career and senior scientific leaders
- Designing a hybrid learning architecture combining live coaching, digital toolkits, and physical resource kits
- Integrating structured content review, leadership presence coaching, and audience engagement models
- Establishing assessment and feedback loops to track skill development, confidence, and application over time
- Partnering with medical education leaders to align the program with accreditation standards and innovation goals
Outcome
- Built a scalable scientific communication capability adopted across multiple programs and faculty levels
- Strengthened leadership presence and confidence among researchers presenting in global forums
- Improved knowledge transfer and audience engagement in virtual and hybrid settings
- Contributed to a client earning Joint Accreditation Commendation Criterion 20 for innovation in medical education
